1.the guts to eat the right stuff.junk tastes gooood but try drinking as much water as you can. then watch what you take in cos it can make you or break you. an electric juicer is still the best tool for gulping up the desired, but often dreaded, greens :)
my cousin and i have detox dates, never complete without the cucumber-carrot-apple-honey shake!you can also try adding a few malunggay leaves. according to a nutritionist I know, malunggay supposedly has 3x more calcium than milk and 7x more vitamin C than orange juice TIP: don't make the mistake of trying to process fresh malunggay into a shotglass... malakas pala tama nun para kang nag tequila!!! you'll be hit by a serious migraine, cold sweats and a possible fainting fit.
2. get out of your comfort zone... do something. do one thing every week that scares you. slap yourself when you get crazy lazy & it's not an official holiday. shake your boo-tay when you like the music you hear, cos angels aside, you are down and depressed sometimes! think of what, in the 9 lives of a cat, youbelieve in... you have to believe in SOMETHING... make yourselfuseful. puwera plastikan.
3. compliment someone (and mean it). I read this somewhere before and it's so great. there isn't a snowball's chance in hell you wouldn't get a kick out of it-- it works with anyone cos everyone is somewhat vain and wants a compliment! how bout saying THANK YOU to someone... or making a peace offering... there has to be someone you haven't talked to in a while? make peace, not war. make loooove, not war.
4. find something toLIKE. a new film? song? out of the box idea? a new dream job? a new tambayan? something about your PAST? laugh. try it now, smile. makes you feel good already i'm sure. laugh cos something's funny, laugh cos you find something ridiculous. laugh cos it's good for you. laugh cos you can.
5. never allow anyone to say you don't have a BACKBONE.take a break. know when & why you have tobe fair to yourself. know how to cry whether out of relief or remorse. know when something is hurting you. know when something is an act of truth or just an act, period. know when something is, or isn't, good for you. don't stress yourself out about it all...rest, and try to see why you should be proud of your decisions.

hey my friend has one, i think it came from that colette store. im sure magiging uso nanamn yan dito, coz the other eco-friendly bag "im not a plastic bag" came out and became really popular here. atleast going green na ang mga tao ngayon... gawa kaya tayo ng PINOY version organic bayong, kasi iba 100%organic cotton yata yan..maybe one day metro manila will also lose its pollution...so going green can be an interesting addition to my own new years resolutions! happy new year everyone!!=)

its like that sa mga supermarkets dito teh.. bili ka ng bag for .99 cents each.. tapos everytime you use it.. they minus 10 cents off your groceries.. i know its not much but its a really good incentive plus it adds up ya know : ) a lil' goes a long way.

im not a total vegetarian, i eat meat naman kasi we need protein eh..but i rather love to eat veggies and lots lots of fruits...im glad that kooki and I had the same detox dates, i eat cucumber kasi yan tanim ng father ko...i always eat 1 apple a day, carrot???? naku natawagan pa nga akong bug bunny because pinapapak ko carrots!!! but i never yet tried the shake! ma-try nga!

New year's resolutions for 2008? Mmmmm... Actually, I don't make a list for yearly resolutions e.Mmmmm... Things change, we can't really tell the future. I mean, it's easy to say but at times due to unforeseen circumstances din sa buhay natin,hindi na natin mapapanindigan. But what I always keep in mind na lang or as much as possible is to be POSITIVE. I know problems are part of our lives na. Nakaka-discourage minsan, nakakapanghina ng loob but ikanga sa kanta e - "God will make a way when there seems to be no way." O di ba, nakakapagpalakas ng loob? I know in every problem, there's a solution basta let's just be POSITIVE & be strong na lang. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!
And also in every decision that we make, there's a consequence. But before we could decide, better if we have to think first. I mean , we have to know what's right & what's wrong. Dapat yung may GOOD KARMA. Walang nag dedesisyon sa buhay natin kundi tayo lang din sa sarili natin kaya wala tayong sisisihing iba kundi yung sarili din natin. :-) Kaya think muna tayo before we decide.
Lastly, let's just be happy all the time as much as possible. GOOD VIBES lang lagi. Keep smiling. Nakakagaan ng feeling pag masaya, di ba?

wow! thanks for sharing this recipe.. hehe.. actually last sem. our group studied malunggay for our thesis proposal. And it is true that malunggay is one of the most nutritious veggies. Share ko lang po... We proposed to develop malunggay as a ready to drink tea (like C2) then we will add flavors for its palatability, for more pleasing taste.. hehe! hello everyone..have you watched MEL & JOEY last night? hey malunggay was featured there..according to a nutrionist. an OUNCE of malunggay ay katumbas na mga 4 glasses of milk (calcuim), 3 pieces of bananas (potassuim) and 6-9 pieces oranges (vitamin C)...so hindi na kelangan pang bumili ng mamahaling gatas noh...kaya gawing habit ang pagkain ng malunggay everyday..pwede syang isahog kahit sang ulam..pwedeng noodles, tinola, monggo, ect....

hi kc, i normally do not post things online. However, you have done so many great things already for our nation that I would like to say thank you for caring truly and keep it up because you have the opportunity to help millions of our people. Yes, you can act, dance and so forth...but I think your most wonderful quality is your true beautiful and kind heart. It's sad for me to say this about our nation, but we cannot depend in our government to take of our people, but I think now (heavy thing to you are carrying) the nation, mostly children and young adults are looking up to you for guidance. Again, thank you for loving and caring for the people of the Philippines.
