It's not as though I've been able to think straight this past week, due to my inability to cope well with lack of sleep, but I do know 6:16 PM today was... 7 hours ago. My computer's still on Europe time!
In my car on the road I was staring at EDSA, requiring from it some sort of reaction, because for the first time in a long time, it wasn't yet midnight and already I was on my way home.
It's past 1 AM here in Manila, so I settle for a roll of the eyes and some headshaking... I can't sleep.
My body hurts from dancing again, for the Araneta show we did with Powerdance. The warm ups, combinations, kicks and stretches, the sweat and muscle pains, the nerves and adrenaline rushes from tito Dougs' meticulous pro-jazz class... I missed every bit of dance after years of no serious training, and though it's been 3 days since the performance, my body's not ready to just stay still and rest. My body missed our highschool Dance Company days! =)
My eyes are drooping, and falling flat on my face from some mild form of fatigue would be the most logical thing to do. But, at this point, too much of my mental energy is also going into trying hard to adjust to a newfound state of busy-ness that is not anymore limited to 'productive summer breaks' (I used to spend my sembreaks and summers working). So many of my dreams are coming true (working with certain orgs and on certain projects) and I can't wait to take on each and every one of them.
I thank God for work opportunities and the patience to take on each task and job I get. I crave being busy, having meetings to go to, shoots to get done, events to host and sing in, places to visit, rehearsals, performances. I love and want to do this kind of thing.
Can I just say something, though... I have to get used to not being able to find the many quiet times I used to so enjoy, the free time I could use to do things like finish reading not one HALF of a book, but SEVERAL books. There are moments where I just want to insist on moving out, living again in my own house which I decorated, bought appliances and furniture for, had the key to. I like making my own cup of coffee for breakfast, because that helps me get my rhythm in the morning, and when it's done for you then everything can seem a bit out of balance. =p I just want to renew my legit non-pro license and drive myself to work in my own car, without hired individuals lurking on the side. It would be nice to be at the wheel accompanied only by a friend with whom I can otherwise openly talk of completely private, highly confidential topics. Of course I am lacking sleep, and when I lack sleep napapansin ko lahat. Yesterday, our driver ran the red light while texting. Ano ba?
Of course, I go on my blog and find that I can be somewhat alone there for a moment, so here I am, venting to you at almost 3 in the morning. =p
My little frustrations do build up, but the bursting can end this minute. I figure that this is the life I need to re-adjust to, I was, for quite a long time, living a life so different than the life here, and this is the first time in a long time I'm back for more than 2 months. It's no longer a break, and last year's summer break was the last of my student life. I'm home for the loved ones and for the race I choose to join. After all, this is supposed to be the "hit-the-ground-running" part, and I am lucky to be around many people I both know and don't know at all. There are lots of things to learn from people, and though there are things getting to me like lack of privacy and still living in the family house, like in any other situation, you have to look at the big picture and adjust to how things are done where you are, with what you have for the time period.
I'm not sure whether to flinch or savour it as the thought of the real world (or REEL world?) pierces my skin. All I know is you're "only as good as your last show" so you keep working hard for every day.
I still can't sleep. I've been venting for an hour now, typing, deleting, typing deleting, typing. I realize that, maybe, I am just looking forward to the things I know I will be accomplishing this year (think positive!).
In performances, they say nerves are good. Because when they're NOT there and you're kampante, that means you are taking something for granted. So, nerves are good.
With an average of 5 hours nightly, voluntarily or involuntarily, how do some people still make the most of each 'marathon' day? How do you start a new day when you haven't even ended the previous one yet? Gotta learn, gotta learn...
Tick tock. I have to be up by 8. It could be 4 AM now. Manila time. LAVETT! =)

to some people, their day is just ending....to some it's starting na...to some it's still ongoing...at wala silang choice kasi their job requires it...
i know we are thankful for the little things that sometimes annoy us but in other instances really comfort us... :-)
i was surprised to know ur still awake kace...im here at sydney but then pinapanood ko yung performance mo as in sobrang galing.
i know na sa sobrang galing u end up having pains after that performance. anyway, im sad to hear na u miss that kind of freedom, kasi with ur lifestyle now, u hardly have time to think and be alone. suggest ko, go for a holiday or visit ur papa.

Aww, sorry to hear that you're tired...and maybe stressed. I guess it's pretty normal to miss the independence and privacy. thanks so much - i missed your writing, your candor and your unassuming nature. maybe in your enthusiasm to be busy, you've stretched yourself a wee bit thin. maybe because you knew things were going to change, (read: your semi-loss of the independence you've attained in Paris), maybe that's why you look to do projects back to back. i hope you got some shut eye. but i'm selfishly thankful that you were able to share some intimate musings again, as back then, before your site has been of extreme public interest. thank you. take care.

Just remember KC that we are always here to support you no matter what. Maybe It wouldn't hurt if you take a few days off work and have time for your self. Relax and spend it with your close friends if you wish. Sometimes people just need some time alone to gather their toughts and once you're all set you're ready to face the world with full of stress again.

I can blame the 'jet lag'... but how can it be possible? 11 months old baby? had a jetlag? anu yun?.... Anyways, being single and hectic-busy is way far from being mom-working-hectic-busy. At least ngayun you're enjoying what you do, while pag may anak kana you will begin to enjoy things that your kids enjoy not yours... Pero di bale malayo pa siguro yun for you. Honey, "Ride on your wave while the wind is good. Not all shores has it!" Do it with coution though. One thing i don't envy on you though is the privacy issue... yah! it must be really hard on you huh! pero kayang-kaya mo yan... ikaw pa?.... And if you need to vent things out, nandito lang kami to listen. Most of us wouldn't mind and will never judge you... for we know you are a very intelligent beautiful woman and have a golden heart. Basta surround yourself with good people although in your place you'll never recognize the goods from the bads unless you really really know them from the start. Banned cellphone while at work ang i-rule mo to all the people who work for you especially if you're with them, kasi ikaw din ang mapapahamak. i just read your blog now and im glad that you're offline!! hoping that you are finally now fast asleep.sige, hilik ka lang diyan : ) i feel bad that you dont get enough rest, and it would not make sense for me to ask why kase its part of the job naman diba?? i guess its part of the many sacrifices you need to make to be doing the things that you love doing.... i just hope that once in a while - you do give yourself a break.. however long it is and maybe take a nice bubble bath while listening to music and reading an inspirational book.. the bible (to give you mental and spiritual strenght), unfortunately rest is the only way for you to heal your aches and pain - and siguro more streching : ) another book i do suggest for you and kookiberks to read is THE SECRET by Rhonda Byrne.. that is, if you haven't already... its pretty interesting : )
siguro nga the only time that you will ever have privacy is when you actually live outside of pinas or when you move into your own place.
but when you are first starting out.. you really have to sacrifice so much but just think of the end results.. as you say.. "think positive".. kayang kaya mo yan kace.. you have so many people to support you : )

...very honest post. I guess we all have our share of sleepless nights that can lead to musings and in-depth soul-searching... busy-ness and in some cases, idleness can do that to you. Sometimes, we have to pay such a high price to achieve our goals or achieve something. Some of us have to leave our families behind just to be able to provide for them. A focused student, sometimes, has to set aside "gimiks" just to get that good grade or finish school. A mother sacrifices sleep just to be able to feed her hungry child in the wee hours of the morning. In your case, KC, you have to "involuntarily" give up your privacy. It must be very hard. But, as you've said, this is the thing that you want and love to do and that counts a lot. It will be all worth it as long as you know that THIS is what you want and what you love. Not to mention that, in your own little/big way, you touch other people's lives. You've helped and inspired a lot of kids more than you know. Be encouraged ... we are here to support you ... my two cents worth on how to start/end a "marathon day?" Pray at the end and start of a day... draw strength from God. "I/You can do all things through Christ who strengthens me/you." Oh, "Eugienn" is right. Ban cellphone use sa driver mo (while driving). Not safe for everybody! Sweet "short" dreams :)
I suffer from insomnia constantly. It gets really frustrating when you want to sleep at a decent hour but keep tossing and turning and look over to see that it's 4:00...5:00...6:00...still can't sleep. DARN IT! It's difficult when your body is tired but the mind is still goin like the energizer bunny constantly thinking about where our life is headed and what's in store for us. BTW, loved your performance. It had a Cirque du Soleil-esque quality. I’ve never seen a performance like that by Filipinos. It’s something you’d see on Broadway or in Vegas. I hope you continue to find positive projects to work on and that you will find a schedule that your body can handle. Good luck and God Bless!

missed things like this here. i mean, we all know you've been busy, but i really like this site of yours cos its real, its not some site you made for the people out here who loves you to be simply updated about you or you promote shows and stuff. this is you. and thank you for sharing your thoughts with all of the people who views this site, including me, of course, it makes me feel that yeah, maybe i have my own crap, and there are people i whom i thought were so lucky to have people help them through with everything, even with the simple task of making them a cup of coffee in the morning. sure, thats nice, but i have to agree with you that its better if you make your own, it gives you the sense of being in control, and a sense of control is good, especially in the morning, when you know that you have a lot to deal with for the day. everyone has their own crap, everyone has to deal with sorts of things that they may think is impossible. but knowing yours, and seeing how you cope up, even just right here in this blog, is really worth reading, even though i have a lot to do today, and i have an exam to catch in a few minutes, it is realy well worth it, thank you. I just hope you hang on in there, you're such a great person and you deserve all the blessings that you have now. its tiring, but you can always have your family, your friends, us to support you and cheer you on. kayang kaya mo yan KC. and goodluck, more power :D and sleep well, whenever you get the chance. :D

hi kooks! i read your new blog...we are glad at kahit panu u know how to sleep, sa dami ng commitments mo, puno ang sched book mo...you echoed what my sentiments are..sometimes it hard to sleep kapag marami kang iniisip, aabutan ka ng sunrise eh dilat pa ang mata mo, naku headache ito...but at times goes by, i learned to at leats lessen what my burden are, ..we need to have a good sleep so that we can face the new day with the energy nakakailanganin natin...reading books while waiting our eyes to shut-down....listening to mellow musics....i will make a sound sleep....

Hi Kace! Wawa ka naman , hindi ka makatulog! Basta lahat ng sobra masama. So, wag kalimutan lang na alagaan ang sarili. Take good care of health. I know sobrang kang nag-eenjoy sa ginagawa mo pero have time to relax minsan. Balanse lang ang kailangan. Just do what you think is best for you and that would make you happy, yun lang naman ang consolation natin sa sarili natin e, di ba? So, whatever your plans or whatever you want to do, just go for it, Girl!! Kahit na masyado ng nakakapagod ang work, basta enjoy lang everyday at smile lang lagi... If you have extra time pa, isip ka na lang ng bagay na makakapagpa relax sa'yo... Why not try this one.... watch this, turuan ka nyang magluto... hehehe

Hi kace, i bumped into this quote from Oprah- she said: "If you come to fame not understanding who you are, it will define who you are." It is good that you know, not only what you want, but who you are. I know fame hasn't all gone to your head. Instead, you use what you have now, to make others happy and make their lives much easier. Take for instance, the charities and goodwill that you did last year. I hope others who are in same stance as you are will emulate the kind acts you've done. Actually, this early morning pondering or procrastination is good. =) It can make you think back to what has happened and plan on your next move. But of course, you need to sleep girl. You have to save up your energies in order for you to take on life with much vigor. Yung performance mo sa Bday ng mom mo was actually outstanding. I just wanna say that your dance number was really great. In regards to your latest blog I would have to say I agree with you about moving out. I remember when I was on my own in college and had to move back home after I graduated because I needed to save money. It was the hardest thing I had to do. As much as I love my family it still drives me crazy of the lack of privacy I get. But of course for you it's even worse. All I can say is hang in there. We can both hang in there together since we're both in the same situation.
As for getting through a marathon day I would probably suggest making a goal throughout the day. Once you've achieved one goal make another one to get more things done. But you know what when you do this and accomplish a lot you find that there is still more work and you feel that you're stuck in the same place. So what you might have to do is take a break for yourself. It could be 5, 10 minutes or however long you need to concentrate on yourself.
I know that you've got a big heart and you love helping people but you've also got to take care of yourself. If you don't you wouldn't be able to touch other people's lives like you want to. So please take care because a lot of your biggest fans including myself want to see you and well and continuing what you've been doing.
ako din hindi makatulog. i suggest take 30g of Melatonin. un ang tine take ko pag di ako makatulog. its an inhibitor na prino produce din natin pero were lacking of it, kaya di tayo maka tulog. kesa sa taking sleeping pills.
just gotta say that you've worked so hard and every one around you knows how talented and how dedicated you are to the things you commit yourself too. in the blessed, opportune times you have to catch up on rest, sana maka rest ka ng mahusay! and know that although you live a unique and unconventional life, there will always be people here to support you in your decisions and your projects. heart and dedication lang. the rest are alll details. :)

it's been loooong since you post something like this, KC. long since your blog had become a "public" thing (wait! isn't that the reason why blogs are made? public consumption eh?). nice to read refreshing, amusing, raw emotions and musings of you. things that you do and think when you're lacking of sleep nga naman. :)
like you, i can't wait to be busy, and i am also that very excited to start na the plans i have for myself (and for my family as well) and to go reach for my dreams. but opportunities seem not to be knocking at my door and that leaves me frustrated and sad. parang everything are going slow for me.
pero sabi sa akin ng cousin ko ptr, waiting is part of what God is planning for you. at least for me, may inaantay ako. yung iba, kahit mag antay, wala naman talagang inaantay. mas masaklap yun, diba? they can't do anything with their situation talaga.
that's when i learned to take it slow, enjoy each day as it comes, yet, still enthusiastically waiting for God's blessing and plans for me to materialize right before my eyes. and yeah, i agree with you. it's hard to adjust/re-adjust talaga. ako din, i am not a fan of CHANGE. getting used to the things, environment and lifestyle tapos drastically, magbabago ang lahat and then kapag you're all set na, here comes change again. oh well. pero change can also give you new chances and new learnings. sabi mo nga, look at the big picture, and learn to adjust (re-adjust) to how things are done to where you are, and what you have. :)
enjoy lang, give your best shot in all you do but don't take everything seriously. leave time for yourself, for your family, and for Him. He'll lead you to what's the right thing for you to do next. :)
I work the graveyard and go to school during the day and in between, I cook, clean, do grocery,pay bills,etc.
You don't exactly know when you've learned to adapt, one day you just wake up and functioning well on a 'marathon' day, on 4 or 5 hours sleep (and still have time to be an environmentalist).
Sometimes you'll find yourself wondering where did you put your keys? (Ha ha ha.) A daily planner and a list is most essential!

awww, lovely entry! it's been a while since you had an entry with a style like this.. i find that when you are grateful for things, you appreciate life more and you take things for granted less. i've made it a habit starting last december to focus on things i am grateful for so i can be happier. and it's working! good vibes all the way! ;)
isn't it great living life very aware and savoring things? like oprah said, it's not good when you're living life so unconsciously. i don't want that kind of life. and although at first i say nakakainggit ang buhay mo and it would be so wonderful to be just like you or to be in your shoes, i realize that there is a downside to everything (like stuff you mentioned here), and that's why realizing my own blessings and being grateful is helpful to not fall into a slump, and to not constantly compare my life to others. because i have my own life, you have yours. and as it is, my life is great, and i can make it even better.
so thanks for the inspiration! here's to everyone living wonderful lives, to not living unconsciously, to being grateful for blessings! :D

Tips for a better pre-sleep ritual from helpguide.org.. hope it helps you kace and kookibers : )
1. Keep a regular schedule. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday, even on the weekends. Keeping a regular schedule will help your body expect sleep at the same time each day. 5. Bedtime snacks can help. An amino acid called tryptophan, found in milk, turkey, and peanuts, helps the brain produce serotonin, a chemical that helps you relax. Try drinking warm milk or eating a slice of toast with peanut butter or a bowl of cereal before bedtime. Plus, the warmth of the food may temporarily increase your body temperature and the subsequent drop may hasten sleep.
6. Jot down all of your concerns and worries. Anxiety excites the nervous system, so your brain sends messages to the adrenal glands, making you more alert. Write down your worries and possible solutions before you go to bed, so you don't need to ruminate in the middle of the night. A journal or "to do" list may be very helpful in letting you put away these concerns until the next day when you are fresh.
7. Go to sleep when you are sleepy. When you feel tired, go to bed.
8. Avoid "over-the-counter" sleep aids, and make sure that your prescribed medications do not cause insomnia. There is little evidence that supplements and other over-the-counter "sleep aids" are effective. In some cases, there are safety concerns. Antihistamine sleep aids, in particular, have a long duration of action and can cause daytime drowsiness. Always talk to your doctor or healthcare practitioner about your concerns!

Kiwi fruit is found as a special and unique fruit as it contains a complete nutrients which can stimulate the movement of intestine besides enhancing a good quality sleep. Among the fruits, kiwi fruit is very unique as it contains complete elements required by human's body. Parents/friends/business people won't understand. I find the Filipino culture/society tends to scoff at / is not used to providing 'alone-time' so we can each do our 'muni-muni'. Its not to say that this is a negative cultural trait, but its just part of the culture. hello mademoiselle! i do understand what you are going through. you missed your freedom and living a normal life like you had in paris. don kasi you can go wherever you go and do whatever you want without any paparazzi as compared in pinas which you are so well-known of. i assume that you want to live in a place where no one recognized you as being "kc concepcion" and instead will know you as just an ordinary person like anyone else, right? don't loose hope. whatever your plan is in your future, it will come true. just always pray to God. ask for signs, to know whatever it is you want to do is really for you. it works for me. it might work for you. always keep your fingers cross. P.S. I watched the performance you did on your mom's birthday celebration. You did great! You have great potential in making it big in life, without the shadow or influence of your parents. I know how you feel, to a certain extent. Last year's summer break was my last summer as a high school student, and this year's break will have me as a full-fledged Communication Arts college major. Aside from my load of over 20 units I'm balancing work and my own production company-not to mention family issues that go on day by day.
Like you so eloquently put it, however..."I'm home for the loved ones and for the race I chose to join." This post of yours made me take a look at my chaotic, crazy life and realize that even though there are some things about it that get to me, on a much bigger scale I'm lucky to be where I am.
Yet another life lesson learned from you. How about that? Thanks, Kace, for being such an amazing inspiration and for touching lives even when you don't realize it. :)

FLASH: KC Concepcion has finally agreed to star in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK)?, ABS-CBN’s top-rating and award-winning drama series hosted by Charo Santos-Concio, aired Friday nights. This “scoop” was relayed to Funfare by an ABS-CBN executive who said that the story is perfect for KC: A riches-to-rags melodrama. KC has starred in ABS-CBN specials and hosted some shows but the MMK episode is her first real acting role. Being eyed as her leading man is Derek Ramsay, with Jerry Sineneng as director. Shooting will start first week of February.

Well, it’s KC Concepcion.
This "MMK" episode will mark KC’s first acting appearance. No wonder that she’s feeling pretty nervous.
The lucky guy who will play KC’s first leading man is Derek Ramsey.
"The episode will be about from rags-to-riches sort of thing," said an "MMK" insider. "Kaya half-way in the episode, magpe-play mahirap si KC, a situation which we all know is alien to her."
The insider added, "The episode will truly be a challenge for her. Add to this the fact that, new as she is in the showbiz game, napakagaling na artista ni Derek."
Having big stars Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion as parents, KC keeps her fingers crossed that her mom and dad, in the end, will tell her that she has lived up to their expectations, acting-wise of course.

He said “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." As a Catholic the catechism I learned as a child taught me that to be a saint I don't need to spend 5 hours lying prostrate in front of the altar in deep prayer and contemplation nor do I have to go to Calcutta to replace Mother Teresa in her work for the poor. All I have to do is to do and fulfill whatever is required of me as a Christian in my state of life every hour and every single day bearing in mind that life can't go on forever and one day I will have to leave this world.
So just go on and do what it is that you need to do in your present state and always pray. If you can't pray you can offer all your actions to God. Before you begin work offer it to Him. Tell Him your plans, dreams and aspirations. Do this and you'll be fine.

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering. I'm part of th Rotary Club of Boracay and we were having a project for women on Women's day - we were going to teach the kids in high school about self image and things like that. Naiiyak na rin ako nung napanood ko! Waaaaahhh!!! Towel na talaga ang kailangan ko dito kasi hindi lang sa madadala ako sa iyak ni Kooki kundi hindi ko sya mapapanood sa TV!!! Waaaahhh!! i watched the trailer. . . not bad. the facial expressions were quite impressive. pero no'ng lagyan ko na ng audio 'yong iPhone ko i was a bit disappointed.
malaking bagay pala talaga ang pagde-deliver ng dialog. it can break or make a scene. i mean, let's aDMIT IT GUYS. . . marami pang kulang sa acting ni Kace. una na 'yong pagbibiitiw nga ng dialog. . . it leaves a lot to be desired. kulang na kulang ng restraint. halatang uma-akting. she also has the tendency to inherit her dad's "smiling and not smiling" facial expression. in contrast SHARON has a more organic facial structure. i know it is too early to expect this much from KACE kasi to be fair alam naman nating malayo ang mararating niya kung magseseryoso siya on how to better improve her craft.
pansin ko lang kasi masyadong mabigat itong unang sabak niya. unfair sa kanya. dapat ibinagay muna sa kung hanggang saan la'ng muna ang kaya niya. masyado kasing naging ambitious ang mga nagpasimuno ng career move na 'to. kahit saan mo kasi tingnan, this is overreaching, peeps. i mean, you can't be an instant vilma santos. kahit yang mga 'yan nagumpisa MUNA sa simpleng roles na bagay sa stature nila.

For a beginner, you did a pretty good job. But try harder to feel the pain. There were some scenes na di nakikita sa mukha mo ang sinasabi mo. Feel your the words you say. and express them. Pero overall ay ok naman.

gud morning...haay ala ako tulog, 3 hours lng..not really because of kooki's MMK..=) but i did watch it, for a beginner t'was ok..oh ok, i mean good enough..(kahit di ako naiyak,hehehe) mahirap din naman kc ako paiyakin eh..hey, i admire KC, for the intelligence, for the fact that she really went to college and strive on her own for a degree (kc kung iba nyan, for sure pag aartista muna ang inuuna).. and oh wil,cympre for her pretty face and sweet aura..=) i never realized, not until last night, how heavy drama pala ung MMK nya..most of the scenes umiiyak cya (how tiring and hard would that beh) but may times na mdyo may hesitation pa sa pagddeliver nya ng lines..and she should open her mouth more..=) and she should watch out yong too much body movements nya in one scene, mdyo na exaged lng ng konti...(guys di ako nang-ookray ha, this is just a kind criticisim...hehehe) for sure while KC was watching it may makikita din cyang flaws and knows na di na pwde mag edit ng scene. so for sure by next time alam na nya dapat e-improve diba.. so both these positive and negative reactions would be very helpful for kace.. (i have a feeling naman KC has a broad understanding for all of these..)...=) speak what's on your mind daw diba, esp if it's helpful to someone na dear to you..i just did..uu

Hi KC.Congratulations in your MMK performance. You did a very good job. You were good in all your scenes with agot and ricky's morgue scene. Sobrang galing ng facial exressions mo even if there was no dialogue. You showed your emotions thru your face and your eyes. Galing mong umiyak at talaga namang napaiyak mo ako the whole time. Nakakapagod pala umiyak, pati ako napagod, it must have been exhausting for you, but it's all worth it super. For a beginner, you were great. Bagay din pala kayo ni Derek. Ang ganda mo rin in most of the scenes, maski umiiyak ang ganda mo pa rin. I love the story too coz it teaches us the value of family, humility, and to appreciate the things you have. Overall, ang galing ng MMK mo and most of all because it was you who portrayed the role. Galing din ng narration mo. All the best Kace.Goodluck sa next project mo.

Well, i just saw the episode in its whole entirety (from Youtube). Siguro, ipakikita dito yun bukas sa Asian Channel dito sa San Francisco. For her (big) acting debut, KC did very well. While very iyakin ako naturally, it only happens kung sad or emotional yung pinapanood ko. I'd say she did her character, Darlene, justice. I guess understandable yung mga previous comments on her delivery. Mahirap idescribe kung ano... it's just that I'd lose my concentration watching kasi I noticed something about how she spoke. It wasn't a big deal though.

Kookai, Can a friend comment? Am I a Friend. I don't know. However, in the spirit of friendship, Cause a True Friend always tells the truth about you. Right?! I watched your acting on MMK the other night, And what I thought, This girl has possibilities. With a good director and enough focus from the artist, who knows to what heights or plains or other worlds she can create or reach? For know, I believe you're on the right track by choosing projects with people who can inspire you and teach you what they learned. So, here's my unsolicited advise, "Keep your eyes and ears OPEN!" As for your acting? I noticed you're still a bit self conscious having the cameras focused at you. Specially in the crying scenes, if you review the whole episode, you'll notice that small movements are magnified on screen. In stage acting this is not noticed but on the big screen any facial expression, small self-conscious movements are magnified. Look closely how your Tita Agot Isidro did the emotional scenes and how she attacked it. You delivered your lines beautifully and with emotion however as they say, "The Eyes have IT!" I think you should work on acting with your eyes more. You don't need too much movement on the Screen since camera close-ups pick up emotion easily, but on stage acting, body movement is a must, since you have to convey the emotion for people seated way back of the theatre. Well I hope I haven't offended. Just wanted to help you in anyway, 'cuz I like where you're coming from.

may kunting mali man pero all in all EXCELLENT !!!! Kc kada patak ng luha mo ,patak din luha ko !! hahahahaha yong asungot dito sa bahay ,pinagtawanan ako sabi pa naman "CRAZY WOMAN" daw ako .... hahahaha yong tumawag pala sa sa akin ng crazy woman asawa ko pala .h.ahahaha tinawag ko din naman syang KJ as in " KiLL JOY"...
KC showed a range of crying emotions: lupasay cry, angry cry, sad cry, happy cry, guilty cry, 'god why did I deserve this cry... they milked her lacrimal glands from start to finish. Yan ba ang batayan ng best acting? an award? high level performance?
I thought the scenes where she didn't speak much and just reactive were suprisingly manang-mana kay Mama! For example, in the scenes; first break up attempt with Chris, where she answered the phone and learned about the news of the accident. They were subtle facial reactions but came naturally. She has tricks in her bag. By the way, lose the bag. You don't sponge bed sores and clutching a bag at the same time. Although, I suspect she is hanging on to it to condense her physical space. There is something awkward in some of her blocking. The scenes where she is pretty and smiling are inescapably like watching her hair commercials. The script and direction were mediocre. I hope better ones come her way or one of you will be inspired to write a pretty damn good screenplay.
guys,grabe naman ang discussion dito...1st acting job on TV pa lang po ni kace, don't expect naman po na maging contender na cya sa for an acting award...i think for a first timer on tv acting, she did pretty well..great in fact..though of course there are areas for improvement which i'm pretty sure, should she decide to dedicate on tv or movies, she will continue to learn how to perfect the craft, knowing her ability naman talaga to do her best in everything she sets her mind into...to KC...the journey has begun...enjoy the ride...we'll always be behind you..:)

maganda ung story na napili mo. may lesson sya, nagawa mo naman sya ng tama. for me magaling kang umiyak very natural talaga. mabilis kang mag patulo ng luha. wala akong masasabi sayo dun... dahil alam ko ang umiyak ay di biro mahirap gawin un. ang napansin ko lang ay ung movement mo.masyado magalaw palagi mo inaayos ang hair mo. at ung part na parang galit kana tipong malambing parin boses mo. alam ko hindi mo mamasamain kung mayroon mang mga ganitong puna sayo. kasi hindi ka naman ganun ka babaw diba? para rin sayo ito. para atleast, next time alam mona kung ano ung mga dapat baguhin sa pag acting mo diba? sa totoo lang kaya ko siguro napuna ito, dahil wala akong ka kurap kurap habang pinapanood kita... pati nga kagandahan ng ipin mo nakita ko pa. (hahaha) cgro ganun din ung iba dito na dahil first time mo a-acting sa screen, excited talaga na panoorin ka, kaya konting mga galaw mo nakita talaga.

KURAK! Naintindihan mo pala patungkol sa blocking and script (all CAPS pa talaga ha) Ikaw rin?, did you have a Gestalt Theory realization- "the whole is the sum of its parts?" Kasi ako, I want to treat episode sa kabuoan dahil yun ang goal na na binabanggit ni KC- the work, the work,the work. So, I dutifully looked at it from that perspective and I researched online basic elements of acting dahil nabanggit niya she took lessons from stage director/character actor, Malu De Guzman.
The girl waited 22 years to offer quality talent. For this acting project, it is not fair to her to respond based on her personality. Kung magpaka-KOOKI fanatic mode ako, the reason for entertainment is her pretty face. Therefore, she would get away with anything kasi kagandahan naman talaga siya. Para ano pa ang nag-acting lesson pa siya kung ganun ka close minded ang treatment sa kanya? So make an effort where credit is due and give her your honest opinion accordingly. It should encourage her to do better ( in this case, acting) and give her a challenge to approach a rational audience.
Kaya nagkakandarapa tayo kay Kooki dahil ina-aspire din natin ang estado at prinsipyo niya sa buhay. She prioritized her obligations to study, she didn't hog the spotlight when she could have easily done so, she is the hottest celebrity without selling out her personal issues, she promotes and supports creativity, she is privileged yet humble, she is open yet manages to be diplomatic on sensitive matters, and business wise, very successful and savvy at a young age.

Moodrah! We have a super valid reason for discussion at the moment- we just watched KC's acting debut in MMK! As you had gone through the postings maraming nagpapapuring opinyon base dahil unang Acting job niya; meron din naman may mga ibang napuna na may kulang at binigyan siya ng B for beginner; wala naman nagsabi na walang siyang K.
Mantakin mo na lang kung gaano ka satisfying kung nakaganap si KC ng swak na swak na project (Like my favorite Sharon movie, To Love Again. Diba kahit hindi si Gabby and partner niya dun, we still fell in love with the characters). So we are letting our voices be heard para malaman ng kanyang mga handlers to keep ABS CBN on their toes in looking a good piece of story para magamit ang full potential ni KC.

Simula nang siya’y isinilang, inasahan na ng lahat na magiging artista rin siya, susunod sa yapak ng kanyang mga magulang. Nung siya’y maliit pa, dinadala siya sa set ng kanyang ina. Dun na niya ginagawa ang kanyang mga assignments sa iskwela. Dun na nagba-bonding ang dalawa.
“Naiiyak nga ako because this means so much to me. Ito ang kinalakihan ko pero after 22 years ko pa lang mai-experience ang fulfillment,” naluluhang sabi ni KC na bago pa nasambit ang kanyang pangalan ay bukambibig na ng sambayanan, na tumanggap ng papuri matapos na mapanood ng media ang kanyang first TV acting debut na magaganap sa Maalaala Mo Kaya ngayong Biyernes, Pebrero 15, sa ABS CBN.
Bakit sa TV at hindi sa pelikula siya unang nagka-proyekto?
Si KC ang may gusto na bago siya mapanood sa pelikula ay dumaan muna siya sa TV. Hindi lamang para ma-practice at mahasa muna siya kundi para masabing nagsimula rin siya sa ibaba. Katunayan, bago siya nagsimula sa MMK ay dumaan muna siya sa isang acting workshop under director Jerry Sineneng na siya ring nag-direk sa kanya sa MMK at sa aktres na si Malu de Guzman.
“Malaki ang naitulong sa akin nito, natututo akong maging komportable sa harap ng kamera,” anang bagong aktres.
Pero, di pinanonood ni KC ang rushes ng MMK. Okay na sa kanya yung napanood niya ang trailer nito.
“Nako-conscious kasi ako, lalo na kapag may nakikita ako na wala na akong magagawa. May mga gusto man akong ipabago, huli na, finished product na yun,” katwiran niya.
Bakit sa Maalaala Mo Kaya siya isinabak?
Bakit naman hindi eh ito ang tahanan ng mga magagan*dang drama shows ng Dos.
Sa kanyang unang paglabas sa MMK, matutung*hayan si KC bilang si Darlene, isang dalagang mayaman, lahat ng gustuhin ay napapasakanya. Pero maaaksidente ang kanyang mga parents, mamamatay ang kanyang ama. Magbabago bigla ang mundo ng dalaga, mararanasan niya ang hirap ng buhay. Magtatrabaho siya para masuportahan ang kanyang pamilya.
Kasama sa palabas na ito sina Derek Ramsay, Agot Isidro at Ricky Davao.

Sleep...I know I lack that...but I think it's a choice. Since we all spend some 8 hrs. or so @ work, it's so evident that by the end of the day, there's only very little time left to devote to ourselves to do the things we like. I know I tend to give up sleep so that I can do the things that matter to me...the things that I love the most..No matter whether it's just playing guitar, doing something with photography, or even just reading a book, these are the little snippets of time that make life worth living. They may not be worth anything to anybody else, but it means the world to you because you're doing it for YOU. And that's the most important concept of all.
Anyway and by the way, good job on your MMK episode. There's definitely no question why millions of people love and adore you. Keep it up, stay sweet and get some sleep....

Si KC Concepcion ang napiling National Ambassador Against Hunger ng World Food Program (WFP) ng United Nations. She went on a three-month screening process and got approved by three offices—Rome, Vatican, and Thailand. She's only the third to be chosen from Southeast Asia.
Pumunta ng Pikit, South Cotabato si KC kahapon ng umaga, February 18, para sa unang trabaho niya bilang national ambassador ng WFP. Dalawa ang purpose ng pagpunta ng grupo sa Cotabato. Una, ang distribution ng take-home rice na ibibigay sa bawat nakalistang pamilya. Makakatanggap lamang ang pamilya ng libreng bigas kung pumapasok sa eskuwela ang kanilang mga anak.
Ang ikalawa, pupunta sina KC sa mga eskuwelahan para sa onsite feeding and distribution of warm formulated meals.
"I am so happy to be connected with the right channels talaga. It's quite a feat to feed hungry children everyday and help resolve conflict and keep them in school," pahayag ni KC sa kanyang text message sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
HUNGER ISSUE. Isa raw sa gusto sanang mangyari ng WFP ay gawin malaking issue ang hunger, kasing laki ng importansiya na ikinakabit sa AIDS at poverty.
"Di ba, Bono [of U2] launched this super-astig campaign against poverty? I want sana to have hunger and malnutrition covered by the media at least once a week, because it's an issue that is as important or even more so but none is paying so much attention to it.
"That's part of my job," patuloy ni KC. "That is to help WFP work to put the issue of hunger at the center as a child dies of hunger somewhere around the world. Kawawa naman. The focus here is food for school to make kids stay in school. It also lessens child labor.
"I want sana to have hunger and malnutrition covered by media at least once a week because it is an issue that is as important or even more so but none is paying too much attention to it. That's part of my job, to help WFP work to put the issue of hunger at the center."
Ayon pa sa nakalap na information ni KC, 50 percent daw ng mga bata sa Mindanao ay nagututom, base sa data na nakuha mula June 2007. Every five seconds, may isang bata raw na namamatay somewhere around the world dahil sa gutom.
Hot meals are provided by to 16,000 children in 277 schools and day care centers. The WFP has increased enrolment by 40 percent and has sustained attendance by 94 percent in assisted schools.
The program is operational in over 800 schools in conflict-affected areas of Mindanao. Nasa 33% lang daw ng mga bata sa Mindanao ang nakakatapos ng primary education. Forty percent daw ng mga magulang na hindi napapag-aral ang kanilang mga anak ang nagsabi na ang kakulangan sa pagkain o gutom ang isang contributing factor kung bakit ito nangyayari.
Nakibahagi sa feeding program ng WFP si KC nang magpunta ang dalaga sa Pikit, Cotabato kahapon ng umaga. Kasama niyang nag-lunch ang UN team, kasama ang mayor ng lugar. Muslim style ang kanilang tanghalian, with colorful sarongs on the floor.
Kumain daw sila seated on the floor. They were served crab, fish, seafood, and wrapped rice with ulam inside. Kasama raw nilang kumain ang mga bata na kasali sa feeding program. Tinikman din daw niya ang formulated meals na ibinigay sa mga bata. Unang lakad pa lang daw niya pero marami na raw siyang natutunan tungkol sa World Food Program at sa magandang kultura sa Mindanao. - Philippine Entertainment Portal

Royalty showbiz princess KC Concepcion has confirmed that she is in talks to star in her first movie, hopefully with ABS-CBN's Star Cinema.
“Well mayroon na kaming pinag-uusapang movie,” KC told abs-cbnNEWS.com in an exclusive interview at a restaurant in Makati.
She declined to confirm if her debut film will be produced by Star Cinema. “Basta, saka na lang po iyon. Ang loyalty ko po ngayon for my first gusto ko pong maka-trabaho ang ABS-CBN ang Star Cinema, so iyon ang masasabi ko for now,” she said.
KC also revealed that she will be doing more projects starting this coming month of April, her birthday month. “I have some surprises for my birthday month of April. Just watch out for it," she said.
KC, Maria Kristina Cassandra Concepcion in real life, is the daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion.

... weird that i was just browsing around online when I came across this site and thought...wow KC is pretty up-to-date on her blog. I thought to myself how can she find time to go here with her busy schedule. After about an hour or so of going through her pics and other items posted that I suddenly realized that this was from a year ago. Today is Jan 15, 2009 and this blog was posted Jan 15, 2008. I felt like a dummy. Anyways I just thought I'd share that since it seems a little funny. Also I can relate to this blog in a sense that I can't get any sleep either. It's already 6:20 am and I've been up since around 3:00 am... thanks to my 2 month old. If you happen to see this message btw I just want to add to the thousands that I'm also a fan. I think you're pretty awesome as a person both inside and out. You have been brought up well and it reflects on your demeanor . May you be more successful in your career and other aspects of life where you wish improvement. :)
