In my case, it's a real blessing that I get to spend time with my dad while we relax here in California. It's so rare that he gets to de-stress, so I'm happy that his smiles, at least for the next few weeks, are not forced.

Mr Ferlinghetti's works, existence and bookshop on Columbus in San Francisco are the only reasons why I go to San Francisco. I am a big fan of this Beatnik poet and painter. I try to go to City Lights Bookstore but I always miss him, he's not there. Besides, I talked to one of the employees and he told me that his 'boss' was kinda moody because he's getting old. Regardless of his condition, I honour him as one of the greatest people, whose works have shaped me as the person I am today. Thank you Mr. Ferlinghetti. Hi KC ... you love theater, right? Have you been to the Sight and Sound Theatre in Pennsylvania? That's my blessing today! I just got back from there (3-hr drive from NYC) and it was awesome! I highly recommend it if you've never been there. They feature live animals as part of their production and these are all Bible Stories come alive! If you have enough time, make that as part of your itinerary and it's worth the trip. You also get to see the Amish community.. and the foods are so good ... all organic or homemade. It's my 4th time in that community (Lancaster, PA) and my second time to see Sight and Sound. You'll love it. The actors/actresses are not just on the stage.. u will see them behind you, above you and around you. You'll see real-life people flying above you as angels :) It's really a beautiful sight. It's not your regular broadway production. This is much better than broadway and cheaper, too. The stories are really inspirational ...food for the soul. Check it out...www.sight-sound.com! The Millenium Theatre seats more than a thousand .. it's pretty huge .. and is only less than a mile away from outlet stores :) This is a must-see for theatre lovers like you. Have a great weekend!
I had spent half of the day of my birthday in a mental hospital last may 3... We had our clinical duty there and not because I gone insane. :p LOLs!!
But seriously speaking, to see them and talk to them makes me feel really blessed to be able to maintain my sanity despite of struggles in life. And to be with my family is something I considered to be the top of my countless blessings. Many of them dont see their families. Either their family dont have the means or they're abandoned. We're lucky that we are in contact with reality and we have control of our lives. I'm thankful of that. Very very much thankful.

I have 2 tiny adult chihuahuas (they weigh 2.5 kg each!) that I share my college apartment with. Living alone can be kinda tough at times, but seeing their happy, loyal, cute little faces everyday makes me smile.... good day or bad. Plus, they are alert, protective lil creatures!
Therefore, I am thankful for my two little doggie angels, Luckie Anne and Nikki Isabel.

When we go to the washroom and turn on the tap, we are blessed with fresh water. When we get changed to start our day, we are blessed with clothings to keep us warm. When we go to the kitchen and open the fridge, we are blessed that we have food to eat and on and on... And so...as we go on with our day...every second is not only a blessing in and of itself but it also brings forth another blessing to cater to our needs.
I have a friend who once told me, "when you pray, ask God each day to surprise you with blessing(s) He chooses to give you." I have done this every morning when I wake up and thank God for a brand new day. Sometimes, when it happens I know right away that that was God's surprise for me, but at the end of the day, I always look back and ask myself what the surprise was. I look for unfamiliar, unusual, peculiar or strange thing(s) that occured during my entire day. It always bring a smile in my face to discover it. And thank Him for it.
It's a no brainer that God always give us blessings. The question is: "Do we always thank Him for every blessing, big and small alike, He gives us? The Bible says, "IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS."

'Wicked' is very good... I've seen many musicals but this one's the best so far. I saw it last December, at one of Idina's last performances in London :-) The tickets were pricey but worth it!

I thank God for the gift of life, for people like you, for the sun that shines after such a long cold winter time, for the cool breeze in the night, for the air that we breathe, for the food, for the clothing ( like clarienet already have mentioned above ), for the sufferings He gave me...the testing of my faith, for love, for all the gifts He blessed me with, for those who haven't received yet but keep on seeking and asking, for those who have just received and for millions more to thank for...but most of all for Christ! For the deep love the Father has for us!!!
I praise Him and thank Him...that I am alive and well because He thought of me while He was dying on the cross!

Blessing? Each day is filled with God's blessings. More often than not, we probably either take them for granted or overlooked them. By His grace and mercy, God's blessings are never ending... while we are still sleeping, the time we open our eyes in the morning until the time we go back to bed and sleep. As soon as we opened our eyes, God's blessing is already upon us by giving us a brand new day and that we're alive. The moment we move and get up is another blessing because we have been given the ability and strength to move and stand up. When we go to the washroom and turn on the tap, we are blessed with fresh water. When we get changed to start our day, we are blessed with clothings to keep us warm. When we go to the kitchen and open the fridge, we are blessed that we have food to eat and on and on... And so...as we go on with our day...every second is not only a blessing in and of itself but it also brings forth another blessing to cater to our needs.
I have a friend who once told me, "when you pray, ask God each day to surprise you with blessing(s) He chooses to give you." I have done this every morning when I wake up and thank God for a brand new day. Sometimes, when it happens I know right away that that was God's surprise for me, but at the end of the day, I always look back and ask myself what the surprise was. I look for unfamiliar, unusual, peculiar or strange thing(s) that occured during my entire day. It always bring a smile in my face to discover it. And thank Him for it.
It's a no brainer that God always give us blessings. The question is: "Do we always thank Him for every blessing, big and small alike, He gives us? The Bible says, "IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS."
May God gives as a heart of gratefulness that we may thank Him for every blessing He gives us.

Hanggang 1st year college pa lang ang natatapos o naaabot ko sa kursong BS Accountancy Computer Based Accounting System. Nakapag-aral ako ng college, kahit 1st year lang, sa tulong ng aking scholarship from one of the university in Manila . Opo, isa akong scholar pero dati iyon dahil nawala ito sa akin ng ‘di pirmahan ng Board of Trustees an gaming kontrata.
Ganito po kasi ang nangyari, mula last quarter of 2003 hanggang Marso 2004 ay naghanap ang aming Dean ng 50 scholars mula sa iba’t-ibang eskwelahan sa Pilipinas. Pagdating ng Marso 2004, 15 sa mga napili ay hindi tinaggap ang scholarship, kaya naman naghanap si Dean ng 15 replacements at isa ako sa mga iyon. Hindi ito agad napaalam ni Dean sa Board of Trustees dahil sa kakulangan ng panahon at para matupad ang nais ng BOT na magkaroon ulit ng mga Accounting student na mangunguna sa CPA Board Exam. Hindi pumayag ang BOT na tanggapin kami dahil akala nila 35 na lang ang magiging scholars at dagdag daw kami sa gastos, kaya nga ang resulta hindi nila pinirmahan ang aming kontrata. Salamat na lang at pinagbigyan kami na tapusin ang 1st year college ng libre.
Wala kaming magawa dahil wala kaming kontrata na maaaring gamitin para makwestiyon sila. Nalungkot po ako lalong-lalo na ang aking mga magulang sa nangyari. Nag-inquire ako sa mga ibang school for their scholarship programs pero sinabi nila sa akin na hindi ako qualified dahil nakapag-kolehiyo na ako, ang hanap nila ay fresh high school graduates. Pwede daw sana ako kung mag-eenroll ako as a regular student at kung makakuha ako ng mataas na marka maaari akong mag-apply for their scholarship program. Dahil sa kakulangan ng pera hindi ako nakapag-enroll. Nagtrabaho ako pansamantala ngunit ang aking sahod ay di sapat para mabayarann ang tuition fees.

I believe the time difference between NY and Paris is only 6 hours, not 12 hours. Hmmm... that travel tip #1 might be hard to do. Ako, I just follow the time when I am in my destined place already. Tired lang the day I land, but so far, I have been ok with jetlags.

guys, wag kasi tayong basta comment ng comment. intindihin din ninyo na nakaka pressure ang makitang daming nag-hihintay sayo pero wala ka magawa kasi may ibang priorities ka. alalahanin nyo na graduating siya malamang madaming requirements sa school na kailangan nya asikasuhin. it does not help kung ganyan comments natin. we can always say miss na natin sya pero wag yung ganun.

Hmm...it seems like posting here is becoming an issue. Please note that I am not trying to put words into KC"s mouth or anybody else's mouth, for that matter. Whatever I say is entirely and purely my own point of view, OK?
If we expect KC to tell us not to post certain things here, we are probably just blowing in the wind. I don't know KC well enough but the way I see it, she will never tell anyone what and what not to post. We must understand that KC is a public figure, most well known in the Philippines, of course. Anything she says or does, is always open to public scrutiny and criticism. The media, especially, will be feasting on anything they could get from KC. That leave us to our own discretion on what we should post here.
Here is a simple analogy. Say someone opened up her house that she worked hard for to make it so clean, presentable and tidy for free viewing just to share a little part of her life. When you enter the house, will you just mess it up, bring your own stuff and clutter it up, comment on things that are not in the house or would you try to keep it clean and tidy and respect the hard work of the person who invited you? Clutters make the house look untidy and it somehow ruin its beauty.
If we post anything we want here or do instant messaging for example, aren't we only cluttering KC's site? Sure this is a public site but we also must take into consideration that this is KC's personal site. She put a lot of her time, effort and her heart into it just to share a part of her life to everyone.
I am sure KC doesn't mind whatever we post but I kind of have the feeling that she would much prefer reading something that have relevance to her blog entry. Let us all please try our best to give KC's site the respect it deserves.

I don't think there's anything wrong in expressing ourselves freely here in KC's site. I'm pretty sure she won't mind it. We're just trying to let her know how much we missed her and that we long for her little attention but that doesn't mean that we are demanding or pressuring her to reply on our comments. It's just that, we are just being honest on our feelings that talking to her is worth remembering or worth the long hours na pagtatambay namin dito. :-) Parang bigla talagang titigil mundo mo, di ba guys? hehehe!! Nakausap ka na ba nya dito? :-) Ako? Oo at sarap ng feeling, girl! :-)
Well, I know KC is intelligent naman e. She knows her priorities kaya I'm sure hindi naman sya papi-pressure dito sa blog nya and that if kung pressure kami or tayo sa kanya. If she needs someone to talk to na I'm sure mas makakatipid sya dito sa atin(hehehe),hindi na sya mag titext or call sa mga friends nya, I know, magda-drop by lng sya dito e. With that effort, we appreciate it sobra!
We are very much aware how busy she is right now with her research papers, exams, requirements, tsaka election na rin for her Dad or whatever. And that we are praying for her everyday that she would be able to handle those things but I'm 200% sure KAYA ni KOOKI YAN! Sya pa... But in fairness to you, I appreciate also your concern for her but I hope we'll just have to understand each other na lang, right? :-) We are friends here and friends understand each other, right again? :-) So, peace be with you.

Today, I exercised my right to vote. I consider it as a blessing because I was given that right to choose whoever I wanted to lead our country for progress. Kahit na medyo mahirap talagang ipagkatiwala ang boto sa mga taong nakikilala lang natin through media, sana naman ay tama ang mga perceptions ko sa mga ibinoto ko.
Sana nakaboto na rin ang ibang rehistradong voters. I've never got really serious about voting until now.
Sana na-exercise mo rin ang right mo, KC, at gayundin sa mga OFWs around the world.

I'm blest and thank God I was not blind when I was born. as the email quoted "It is a great reminder particularly during this Lenten season to be grateful for the so many blessings and talents God has showered us with instead of focusing on what we perceive as lacking in our lives." so many blessings in life especially friends and family and of course blessings that happens when God just willingly gives it to you but its your choice to either make it or break it.
